 – Tool & Die Maker –

Summary: Analyzes specifications, lays out metal stock, sets up and operates machine tools, fits and assembles fabricated parts, repairs: metalworking dies, jigs, fixtures and gauges.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned).

  • Interpret blueprint specifications, engineered drawings/sketches, models, or descriptions and determines machines and materials required for fabrication of part(s).
  • Determines assembly method and sequence of operations required for repair or construction of metalworking dies, jigs, fixtures and gauges
  • Measures, marks, and scribes metal stock for machining.
  • Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, shaper, and grinder, to machine parts, and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications.
  • Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances using commonly used tools such as micrometers, dial calipers, indicators, shims, height stands etc.
  • Recommends design modifications regarding construction and function of tooling.

Job Skills and Requirements:

Education and/or Experience: Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry and machine mathematics (example calculation of proper speeds and feeds given insert/tool performance specifications).

Analytical Skills: Ability to apply cause and effect (critical thinking) methods to determine root cause for problems associated with the function of tools.

Mechanical Skills: Proficient in the use of power tools (example die grinders and rotary tools) and hand tools (example files and honing stones).


– Robotic Welding Operator –

Summary: Operators shall ensure parts/components are welded to internal standards and production output targets are met on Robotic Fanuc/Lincoln MIG cells.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned).

  • Adjust Robotic Touch Up points in order to maintain required welds.
  • Select programs and setup required fixtures as needed for the production of various weldments.
  • Inspect weldments which includes but is not limited to visual inspection of welds and hard gage inspection of welded component locations.
  • Efficiently, effectively and safely operate Robotic MIG cells in order to meet output targets.
  • Monitor all consumables such as nozzle and welding tips for wear to ensure good weld conditions. Replace these consumables as needed.
  • Replace welding gas and wire as needed.

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or equivalent.

Job Skills and Requirements:

  • Familiar with FANUC Arc Mate programming
  • Welding Experience (Vocational and/or on the Job Training is acceptable)
  • Heavy lifting not to exceed 50lbs. w/o mechanical assistance

– CNC Machinist – 

Summary: Set up and operate both CNC turning and milling centers for production of parts and parts/components needed for tooling, fixtures, jigs and gages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned).

  • Interpret/study blueprints (GD&T), sketches, drawings and sample parts to determine sequence of operations and required tooling needed to manufacture.
  • Verify conformance of parts using measuring and inspection tools such as dial calipers, micrometers and height stands.
  • Select programs and setup required fixtures as needed for the machining of parts using work coordinate systems.
  • Step through program to ensure collision free motion and edit if needed.
  • Calculate and set machine speeds and feeds for optimal cutting conditions.
  • Calculate radial compensation if needed for both milling and turning processes.

Education and/or Experience: Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school and one to two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Skills and Requirements:

  • Familiar with FANUC G and M code programming.
  • Good mathematical skills with an emphasis on geometry and trigonometry.
  • Good problem solving skills related to machining issues such as programming errors or improper or less than optimal tool sequencing.
  • Knowledge in the use of PC’s for machine program storage, transfer and edit.

– CNC Machine Operator –

Summary: Operate both CNC turning and milling machining centers for production of parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned).

  • Uses provided gauges and measuring tools such as micrometers and dial calipers to verify required tolerances.
  • Understands the basics of FANUC G-code programming.
  • Understands basic blueprint/drawing callouts such as simple linear or radial dimensions.
  • Can monitor tool wear and adjust for wear using tool offsets.
  • Change inserts/tooling as needed in order to maintain quality of part.
  • Efficiently, effectively and safely operate CNC equipment in order to meet output targets.
  • Properly and safely load parts for machining.

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or equivalent with two years related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Job Skills and Requirements:

  • Good mathematical skills with an emphasis on geometry and trigonometry.

– Metal Stamping Press Operator – 

Summary: The press operator will work on mechanical and hydraulic presses to produce metal blanks and/or formed parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned).

  • Material handling of product and parts as needed this includes coils for progressive dies, strips for blanking and blanked parts that require additional processing.
  • Monitors machine operation ensuring blanks feed properly and machine operates safely.
  • Perform Quality checks as per in process check sheets including last piece conformance.
  • Perform necessary housekeeping duties as instructed to ensure a safe and clean working area.
  • Efficiently, effectively and safely operate mechanical/hydraulic presses in order to meet output targets.

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or equivalent with two years related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Job Skills and Requirements:

  • Good mathematical skills with the ability to apply concepts such as addition of fractions, ratios and percentages.
